‘Russian Air Defense Worked Disgustingly Bad’

Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by conventional commercial drones.
Moscow and the Moscow region were massively attacked by drones yesterday. Putin said that the Russian air defense was operating as normal.
The Charter97.org website asked Oleksandr Kovalenko, Ukrainian military-political observer of the Information Resistance group, to evaluate the work of the Russian air defense:
— In fact, Russian air defense worked disgustingly bad. The fact is that I do not believe any reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, but one moment caught my eye. They reported that they shot down all the drones, while three UAVs were allegedly shot down with the help of electronic warfare. We are talking about a complex of electronic warfare, which suppresses the signals of drones. In one case, it can take control, and in the other, it simply knocks an UAV off course and it flies random direction.
This is disgusting, because in urban conditions such actions are unacceptable. Outside the city borders, yes, but in the city itself — this is unacceptable. After all, such a drone has a warhead, where there are approximately 20 kg of high-explosive or cumulative-type warheads. Such an uncontrolled drone crashes into high-rise buildings and explodes, causing relevant damage to these buildings.
And what do we see? Three drones crashed into three high-rise buildings in Moscow. Three UAVs were hit by electronic warfare and three UAVs crashed into buildings. This speaks of the “very effective” work of the Russian air defense.
In urban conditions, such drones should be shot down exclusively with either anti-aircraft missiles or cannon systems in order to detonate the warhead. As the warhead detonates, just debris falls to the ground. Further, only an ordinary fire can happen.
I will highlight one more thing, they did not count on the effectiveness of their anti-aircraft missile systems or anti-aircraft missile and gun systems. They had such a high surprise factor for this raid, unpreparedness for it, that after letting a drone through one of the air defense lines that they had broken through, the Russians went to extreme measures and turned on the electronic warfare just to drown everything out.
— What does it say?
— The fact that their air defense system is not reliable enough and it was broken through by means of a clearly non-military purpose, but some kind of commercial drones. Actually, this is another evidence of the low effectiveness of their air defense.
— The raids of Russian volunteers and the statement of the ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, General Skrzypczak that there will be an uprising in Belarus and it needs to be supported, raised the issue in the media that Belarusian volunteers at one point could also enter the territory of Belarus. Do you see this scenario as real?
— Yes, but not now. By the way, I recently raised this issue in my article. There must be appropriate factors so that it is not just entering for the sake of entering. If you enter, then set a goal for yourself so that it is not the same as in 2020, when you missed it.
You just need to realize that blood will be shed, there will be a tough confrontation, but the question arises: does Belarus really want to change or is it ready to be held hostage by Lukashenka for another 10-15 years until he is completely overwhelmed by chronic diseases?
The issue will need to be dealt with rigorously. Either Belarus finally becomes a democratic country, or chances are given to the tyrannical regime to continue its rule. All this needs to be thought through, the conditions must be laid out, the relevant factors must be prepared and, of course, the actions of such volunteers must have support from protesters. It is necessary to combine the protest element and the force element.
Protests will be suppressed by the regime by force. In order to counteract Lukashenka's security forces, a force element is needed in the form of such units as the Kastus Kalinouski regiment. After all, the guys there are gaining combat experience, which the Belarusian army does not even have.
