Tokayev Refuses To Help Putin In Suppressing Armed Rebellion

The President of Kazakhstan called what is happening “an internal affair” of Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev this morning. This was reported in the administration of the Kazakh President.
Putin briefed Tokayev on the situation in the country.
“Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that the ongoing events are an internal affair of Russia,” the administration of the President of Kazakhstan said following the conversation.
Today the President of Russia also called Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are CSTO allies. In January 2022, during the unrest in Kazakhstan, the CSTO countries sent their contingent to this country.
