Migrants Attack Polish Border Guards With Guns From Belarusian Side

A Polish border patrol was attacked by a group of 20 aggressive migrants at the outpost in Dubicze Cerkiewne on the border with Belarus. This is stated in the morning summary of the Polish service.

"The patrol was attacked by an aggressive group of 20 people from the Belarusian side, some of them were wearing masks, throwing stones and sticks, one person aimed at the Border Guard patrol, probably with a smoothbore weapon. Foreigners also fired from slingshots, a service vehicle was damaged," the report says.

In total, the Polish side registered attempts of 60 migrants to break the border on Tuesday. Six foreigners tried to cross the Przewloka River in front of the Polish patrol, but returned to the territory of Belarus.

In Lithuania, 5 attempts to violate the border were registered. Latvian border service reported 147 attempts. So far, this is a record number in August.
