Russia Has Many Weak Points: Fukuyama Speaks Of Putin’s Fall Scenario

The Russian leader “blew up” his power.
American philosopher, political scientist, writer and professor at Stanford University Francis Fukuyama believes that the collapse of the Russian Federation and the fall of the Putin regime are possible after weakening in the center of the country.
The scientist spoke about it in an interview with GORDON.
According to him, states such as Russia seem powerful, but in reality they are “very fragile”.
“Russia has many weak points and a crucial change is possible with a weakening in the center. Russia's regions will move in different directions and face serious external challenges,” Fukuyama said.
He also touched upon the topic of the so-called friendship between China and the Russian Federation. The political scientist does not consider these countries to be true friends.
“The Chinese still lay claim to part of Russian territory, and all this could happen at some point in the future if the center of Russian authorities is discredited,” Fukuyama explained.
At the same time, he would not advise counting on Putin’s fall in the near future, but, according to Fukuyama, Putin’s system of governance is extremely weak.
“He blew up his power. And so I don’t expect Putinism to survive. And it certainly won’t survive the death of Putin,” Fukuyama added.
