Video fact.
A video clip of a resident of Bashkortostan is circulating on the Internet.
She urges the region's participants in the war in Ukraine to leave their positions and return home.
"I call on all fighters from Bashkortostan to leave the territory of Ukraine and return to defend their country and their people. While you are fighting for the ambitions of one man, your people are being beaten with clubs by OMON and Rosgvardia," the unidentified woman said in the video.
Russian political scientist Abbas Galliamov, of Bashkir nationality, was one of the first to publish the video.
The largest protests since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in Bashkortostan.
A protest of many thousands in the Bashkir town of Baymak began on the morning of 17 January, immediately after the announcement of the verdict against regional activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison for 'inciting inter-ethnic hatred'.
Protesters clashed violently with Russian security forces.
