Drones Attack Tuapse: Rosneft Refinery On Fire

On Wednesday evening, January 24, a series of explosions were heard in the Russian city of Tuapse in Krasnodar region. After them a powerful fire broke out at the local oil refinery, which is part of the Rosneft oil company.

Images from the scene of the incident are actively shared online by local residents. It was reported about hits, tentatively - by drones, after which a fire broke out at the energy facility.
Panic began in Russian chat rooms - citizens of the aggressor country were urging not to write where exactly were the fly-ins, so that Ukrainians did not find out about it. Several fire trucks travelled to the site of the hit.
The Kuban operative headquarters reported a "fire", but its causes were not named. They noted that there were no casualties and victims. The head of Tuapse district, Sergei Boiko, said that a vacuum unit had caught fire on the territory of the refinery.
Russians reported that they saw unknown UAVs flying before and after the fire at the oil depot. The central highway to Sochi runs next to the refinery, the "Cover" plan was declared in Sochi, the airport was working in a restricted mode, planes were temporarily not landing or departing.
The restrictions were imposed "for the safety of civil aircraft flights", a representative of Rosaviatsia said.
