'Entire Air Regiment Deployed There': Planes Russian Federation Could Lose At Belbek Aerodrome

Explosions were heard yesterday at the Belbek airfield near Sevastopol, temporarily occupied by the Russians, in Crimea.

Analyst and aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap said that the Belbek site was mostly occupied by Russian Su-27 and Su-30 fighter jets.

"There was a whole aviation regiment there - three or four squadrons (the standard number of aircraft in a squadron is 12 pieces, - Ed.)," the expert shared the information on air on Kyiv24.

"There were Su-27, Su-30 aircraft located at Belbek, and there were even four MiG-31Ks carrying Kinzhals (ballistic missiles, - Ed.). But they somehow appeared there, then stayed there, then disappeared, then reappeared," the analyst said.

Krivolap emphasised that MiG-31Ks are "non-permanent visitors" in Crimea. "And in general - this is the aviation that is engaged in patrolling the Black Sea in the Crimean zone .... They fly where they still dare to fly ... mainly (at Belbek airfield, - Ed.) - Su-27, Su-30...," he added.
