Even the Ministry of Culture was appealed for expertise.
There has been an attempt to export a rarity car of 1947 year of manufacture from Belarus without the necessary documents. Illegal export of the vehicle, which is a cultural value, was detected by Hrodna customs officers at the "Kamenny Loh" checkpoint, reports the press service of the Belarusian customs.
A Russian citizen was travelling to Lithuania on such a ZIS 110 passenger car. Having chosen the "green corridor," the driver confirmed that he had no goods subject to mandatory declaration.
When carrying out customs control, customs officers paid attention to the date of manufacture of the car, indicated in the technical passport.
The car was manufactured in 1947, and vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1951 are classified as cultural property. Therefore, they must be declared.
The Ministry of Culture confirmed that the vehicle belongs to the category of cultural valuables.
The cost of the undeclared rare car was about 610 thousand rubles.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the Russian citizen under Part 4 of Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences (non-declaration or submission of false information about goods). The article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the undeclared goods' value.
