The atrocities by the Russians will come back to them like a boomerang.
The commanders of the units of the Russian Armed Forces allow their subordinates to commit crimes against Ukrainians. During the last known crime, 9 captured Ukrainian soldiers were shot near the village of Zeleny Shlyakh in the Kursk region. Meanwhile, the Office of the Prosecutor General is investigating 93 more such cases. Forbes reported on the details of the executions committed by the Russians.
The journalists reported that a group of soldiers suffered from the criminal actions of the enemy in the territory held by two units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the 33rd Airborne Assault Battalion and the 41st Mechanized Brigade. The shooting was carried out by Russians from the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, who carried out a raid and surrounded drone operators on a mission. According to Forbes, the event took place in the village of Leonidovo, located 1 km from the edge of the area where the fighting is taking place. The DeepState project map shows that to the west, 3 km away, is the village of Zeleny Shlyakh, which is controlled by the Russians.

The article recalled the statement of the Human Rights Commissioner Dmitry Lubinets, who on October 7 reported another case of execution: the Russian Armed Forces executed three Ukrainians.
Meanwhile, investigator Yuri Belousov reported that an investigation is underway into the murder of 93 Ukrainian prisoners of war.
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, which was cited by journalists, this is a trend: the commanders of the Russian Armed Forces allow atrocities to be committed against Ukrainians.
The journalists warned that previous historical experience indicates that the Russians will receive a similar response. As an argument, they recalled the events of World War II, when Wehrmacht soldiers killed wounded in a hospital, and then found and punished them.

“Throughout history, executions of surrendered soldiers by one side of a conflict have encouraged the other side to execute prisoners in response. Russian troops are only adding to the horror of an already terrible war - and almost guarantee that the atrocities they commit will eventually affect them too,” concluded the Forbes publication.
