AFU Smash Large Russian Assault Column Near Kurakhove

Ukrainian paratroopers have stopped a Russian mechanised assault towards the town of Kurakhove in Donetsk region.

The 46th separate aeromobile brigade said that the Russian command sent new assault troops along the path where other occupiers were recently defeated, Dialogue.UA reported.

Ukrainian fighters emphasised that the second assault group actually ran into the same trap.

Five BMPs and two tanks formed a morning strike fist in the direction of the defence of one of the AFU's airmobile battalions.

Within 15 minutes, four BMPs and two tanks of the Russians were destroyed by artillery fire, FPV drones and remote mining equipment. Another armoured vehicle stopped halfway through.

Then the already hastened infantry of the occupants were destroyed by the forces of unmanned systems. The Ukrainian military repelled the attack on the road near Maksymilianivka - Kurakhove.

Heavy fighting continues in this direction, the enemy is throwing more and more reserves into the battle in order to get into Kurakhove as soon as possible.
