The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) eliminated the head of the Hamas terrorist network in the city of Tulkarm, as well as a group of other terrorists.
The IDF Telegram channel reported this.
It is noted that on Thursday, October 3, the Israeli army struck the Tulkarm area [a city in Palestine, on the West Bank of the Jordan River. - Ed.] and eliminated terrorist Zahi Yasser Abd al-Razek Ufi, the head of the Hamas terrorist network in this city.
The military reported that Ufi planned and led the attempted car bombing in the Israeli settlement of Ateret on September 2, 2024. The terrorist supplied weapons to a large number of terrorists in the area, planned and directed a significant number of additional terrorist attacks against communities in Judea and Samaria and the rest of the Israeli front. Ufi was planning to carry out another terrorist attack shortly.
The IDF also noted that Ufi participated in the planning and execution of numerous significant and extreme terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians in Judea and Samaria, during which a large number of civilians were injured.
"Ufi acted to strengthen the Hamas terrorist network and to assist other terrorists in the region in carrying out significant shootings and car bombings," the statement noted.
At the same time, the IDF noted, many other important terrorists who were part of the terrorist network in Tulkarm were eliminated along with Ufi.
