Will there be assassination attempts?
The explosions of pagers, radios and other equipment belonging to the Hezbollah group in Lebanon pose a “direct threat” of assassination attempts on CIS government officials, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said at a meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS Security Agencies and Special Services.
“The results of the enemy's intelligence services' work on collecting information about vulnerabilities in information resources and the covert introduction of a “stash” can be used not only to destroy critical information infrastructure, but also to organize assassination attempts on government officials using wearable electronics at the right moment,” TASS quotes Bortnikov as saying.
According to him, this is a “direct threat” to the security of the CIS countries.
