Zelensky Speaks About Fate Of North Korean Prisoners In Ukraine

The President of Ukraine voiced important details.

Ukraine treats prisoners of any nationality as prisoners of war, respecting international law. Therefore, Ukraine is ready to exchange North Korean soldiers fighting on the side of the Russian Federation for Ukrainians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with the South Korean TV channel KBS, Ukrinform reports.

“We treat prisoners of any nationality as prisoners of war. It is very important for us to keep them alive, it is vital to respect international law and not to torture prisoners. I especially emphasize, because compared to the Russian army, which tortured our guys, we do not do this. The most important thing for us is to increase the exchange fund. Therefore, first of all, we will be ready to exchange North Korean soldiers for Ukrainians,” Zelensky said.
