There will be no additional measures to protect schoolchildren.
In connection with the increased frequency of drone flights over the territory of Homel region, local residents on October 14 created a collective appeal to the authorities asking them to pay attention to the safety of people in this area, primarily children in kindergartens and schools. A few days later, they were told that the appeal was sent to the Main Education Department of the Regional Executive Committee, and on November 4, a response came from there. It is published on the website petitions.by.
Judging by this response, there will be no additional measures to protect schoolchildren, since the safety of children "is organized in accordance with all the rules for organizing the educational process."
"Having reviewed the collective appeal received by the Homel Regional Executive Committee, we report the following. Work to ensure the safety of children in educational institutions of the Khoiniki district is organized in accordance with the safety rules for organizing the educational process in the implementation of the preschool education program, the safety rules for organizing the educational process, organizing the educational process in the implementation of general secondary education programs, approved by the Resolution of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus dated 03.08.2022 No. 227," says the document signed by the head of the main education department of the Homel region Ruslan Smirnov.
The response also notes that it can be appealed.
Recall that the petition expressed the opinion that "the authorities and the army are obliged to ensure effective protection of their citizens by all possible means."
"We strongly ask you to equip educational institutions of the Khoiniki district with electronic warfare (EW) equipment. They can be installed on the roofs of educational institutions," the residents noted.
