Dozens of drones attacked the capital of the Russian Federation.
On Sunday, November 10, dozens of drones attacked Moscow. The mayor of the city, Sergey Sobyanin, has so far confirmed the destruction of at least 32 drones in the districts of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye and Kolomna.
Reuters called the current drone attack “the biggest strike on the Russian capital to date” since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Residents of the Moscow region filmed both the flying drones themselves and the moment of shooting down several drones, for example, in Ramenskoye and Kolomna.
Because of the air attack, three Moscow airports — Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky — introduced the "Carpet" plan and suspended the reception and departure of aircraft for several hours. Thus, the flight from Minsk to Sheremetyevo was postponed for an hour, but by now all flights are on schedule.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, three drones almost landed in a passenger Airbus A320 flying over Moscow, flying from the city of Bukhara in Uzbekistan to Sheremetyevo.
"At the last moment, the pilot noticed that the course was being intercepted by three drones, and almost collided with one of the UAVs," the source said.
As a result, the plane landed at Sheremetyevo, and the other 8 boards were redirected to an alternate airfield. In total, during the period of the Kover ("Carpet") plan, according to the channel, 36 aircraft went to alternate airfields.
Moscow Mayor Sobyanin did not report any destruction on the ground or civilian casualties, but the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov shared information about the consequences of a massive drone attack.
According to him, after the fall of drones, 2 houses in the village of Stanovoye caught fire in the Ramensky city district.
"A 52-year-old woman suffered from shrapnel, she was hospitalized with burns to her face, neck and hands — a condition of moderate severity, she is now in intensive care," the governor said.
Footage of the downed drone burning on the ground was shared by the Context Telegram channel.
According to the Baza channel, two private houses caught fire there as a result of the fall of burning fragments - one house was destroyed, the second had a burning roof. In addition, damage to a passing vehicle was reported.
The TASS agency told about the consequences of the drone attack in the neighboring village of Sofyino. There, the wreckage of the downed drone fell on a car parked in the courtyard of an apartment building.
