Among them are disabled people.

The ASTRA Telegram channel continues to monitor the fates of the Russian soldiers who were in military unit 57849 in the Novosibirsk region last week. On November 8, more than a hundred soldiers with the status of AWOL — absent without an official leave — were brought there.

According to the publication's source, the soldiers were brought for a check, many of them were “sick, on crutches, and with limited mobility”. Mobilized and contract soldiers, some officially have group “D” and temporary leave. Despite this, the command promised to send the soldiers “beyond the tape” — that is, to the combat zone, which on November 13 led to a riot and the escape of some of the soldiers.

According to the latest information, more than a hundred soldiers with the AWOL status from unit 57849 ended up in Rostov — they should have been sent to the combat zone by now.

“We flew away [from the unit], I don’t have a f*king idea how many, almost all of us, maybe 5 people remained. There were still people on board from other directions. About 180 people went to the infantry, 22 were taken by the Airborne Forces,” says one of the soldiers taken “beyond the tape” in an audio message that was obtained by ASTRA.

“In short, the plane has already flown the f*ck away, they are all already there. Now they will move to the front. How long they have to go and in what direction — who the f*ck knows. Nobody is saying anything. I’m sitting here, f*cking stunned by this f*cking lawlessness,” a source told ASTRA.

Among those sent “beyond the tape” is Lieutenant Alexander Andreev, about whom ASTRA wrote yesterday. According to his colleague, Andreev “can hear, but he is mute and communicates only by phone …> He has one [only his right] hand that works. I personally cut his nails for him. The situation is such that he constantly needs help.”
