According to Budanov, these were prototypes.
The missile that Russia used to strike the city of Dnipro is experimental. This was stated by Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kirylo Budanov during the discussion “Genocidal practices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine”.
“Yesterday, the Russian dictator openly and publicly stated that the missile used was the “Oreshnik”, that's what he called it. “Oreshnik” is the name of the research work. This is just a screen for it, the system itself is called “Kedr”, he noted. At the same time, he added that this was a medium-range ballistic missile, a carrier of nuclear weapons.
Budanov noted that the fact that the Russians used the missile in its non-nuclear version is a warning from them that they have “gone completely crazy”.
“Now the examination is establishing what kind of filling it contained. The missile is experimental. We knew for sure that two prototypes were supposed to be made in October. They may have made a little more, but believe me, this is a prototype, it is not a serial product yet, thank God,” Budanov emphasized.
