In Vilnius, a cargo plane crashed on a two-story residential building. A fire started. According to preliminary data, there were four people on board. There is a fatality.

The accident occurred early in the morning on Žirniai Street. According to the schedule, a DHL plane was supposed to land at that time.

"A DHL cargo plane flying from the German city of Leipzig to Vilnius Airport crashed in Liepkalnis at about 5:30 a.m. Currently, city services are working at the site. One fire engine and a Vilnius Airport command team have also arrived. The airport's operations are currently not interrupted," the administration of the Lithuanian capital's airport said.

As Delfi writes, citing eyewitnesses, the crashed plane belonged to the DHL transport company. According to the publication, there were four people on board - two pilots and two company employees. Rescuers freed the pilot, he is now conscious, Delfi writes.

Later, the publication reported that two victims were taken to hospital, one person died. The number of other victims is unknown.
