Protesters have begun a march on Islamabad.

Despite extreme security measures, the shutdown of the Internet and mobile communications, as well as the closure of roads leading to the capital, thousands of supporters of the ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan have begun a march on Islamabad, Anadolu reports. The protests in Pakistan were supported by supporters of the politician in more than twenty countries around the world.

Among the demonstrators, high-ranking supporters of Khan, such as the Prime Minister of the Pakhtunkhwa province Ali Amin Gandapur and Khan's recently released wife Bushra Bibi, have taken to the streets.

At the moment, classes in educational institutions in Islamabad have been cancelled, roads to the capital are blocked by metal containers, some roads have been dug up or concrete barriers have been placed on them so that it is impossible to drive on them. However, this does not stop the protesters. Using improvised equipment, they remove obstacles and fill in holes, after which they continue on their way.

The country's authorities threaten to take tough measures against those who nevertheless enter the capital to hold unauthorized rallies. Previously, it was prohibited to hold meetings in Pakistan with more than 4 people present. At the moment, more than 4,000 supporters of Imran Khan have been detained in Punjab province alone.

It should be noted that Lukashenka flew to Pakistan today.
