Families in which parents were detained after 2020 have been recognised as being in a socially dangerous situation (SDS), at least two such cases are known, according to the city publication of hrodna.life.

Families where only one of the parents has been detained are also recognised as SDS. As a rule, one of the parents was tried for ‘distribution of extremist materials’. Phrases about ‘improper ideological upbringing’ were heard at the commissions, the newspaper claims.

Warnings about being registered as SDS for distributing ‘extremist materials’ appeared in the chat rooms of Hrodna schools and gymnasiums during the discussions caused by recognising the materials of the popular regional portal s13.ru as ‘extremist’, the media outlet said.
