The statements of the paediatrician caused a scandal.
Belarusian Twitter community was outraged by the statements of a doctor from Minsk, who wrote that "Jews deserve to burn in ovens." In response, the woman promised to inform Belarusian security forces about personal data of the indignant people.
On November 1, a post appeared on Twitter by Dr. Alesia Belaus, an anesthesiologist-resuscitator from the 3rd Children's Hospital in Minsk, writes Nasha Niva.
The woman said that "a Jewish kid does the most nasty things against her – fair-haired Slav woman". There were also other offensive statements on national grounds.
About 58,000 saw the tweet, as of the morning of November 3. More than 400 people commented on it, which is in sharp contrast to all previous publications in the woman's account.
Commentators tried to shame the doctor, but she snapped back.
Amid the criticism, the doctor wrote several more tweets, in one of which she wished the Jews to "burn in the ovens," accompanying it with a symbol of support for Palestine. The woman later deleted that post, but commentators screenshotted it.
The doctor also began to threaten her critics that she would draw the attention of the security forces to them, but she herself was told that she had spoken out against Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus "on inciting racial, national, religious or other hatred."
Who is Dr. Belaus?
The woman's name is Alesia Belaus, she is a graduate of the Hrodna State Medical University and has been working as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator at the 3rd City Children's Hospital in Minsk since 2018.
The woman expressed great love "for her little patients" on social media.
Judging by her previous activity on Twitter, Belaus supports Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Russia.
