The Russian Federation evacuates the remnants of troops and vehicles.
After the fall of the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, the Russians attracted a caravan of military transport boards to retreat from the country, on which the remnants of troops, weapons and military equipment are loaded.
GUR (Ukrainian Defence Intelligence) reported.
It is noted that from the Khmeimim airbase, which is used by Russia and is the main base of the Russian military contingent in Syria, flights of several An-124 and Il-76MD aircraft are planned along the routes to the airfields of Ulyanovsk, Chkalovsky and Privolzhsky.
In addition, the aggressor country attracted additional fleet facilities: in particular, in the city of Baltiysk, the Sparta II bulk carrier and the Alexander Shabalin large landing ship were ordered to be prepared for departure to Tartus.
According to the GUR, the large landing ships of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation "Alexander Otrakovsky" and "Ivan Gren" also headed for the Mediterranean Sea.
It is noted that the Russian frigates Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Golovko are also involved in the "Syrian retreat" operation.
At the same time, in the port of Tartus, the Russians are also carrying out emergency dismantling of equipment and military equipment. Several hundred Russian special forces have already arrived there to ensure the safety of the retreat.
According to the GUR, Russia is probably counting on agreements with anti-government forces on an unhindered exit from Syria.
"Even representatives of the so-called Moscow diplomacy no longer call the groups rebelling against the Assad regime"terrorists", but demonstrate neutral, even "cute "public rhetoric," the report reads.
Ukrainian intelligence also notes that among the remnants of the Russian contingent in Syria, frustration, oppression and dissatisfaction with commanders, in particular their organizational failure, continue. In addition, one of the military bases with the Russian military is under siege.
