A tank cadet from the ‘Charter’ brigade spoke about the assault near Liptsy.

On November 17, the National Guard's brigade of ‘Charter’ attacked a Russian battalion defence area in the forest near the village of Liptsy in Kharkiv region. One of the assault subgroups in this successful combat operation was headed by 22-year-old Valentyn Kobets, a tanker and cadet of the Kharkiv Tank Institute of the AFU.

Valentin told about the preparation for the operation and its course in an interview with the Butusov Plus channel.

‘All this was happening, you can say, at my home. I am from Kharkiv. From Northern Saltivka. I had a summer house in Liptsy. I used to go there often, to rest. I knew all the roads, I knew all the locations. Those positions that we stormed on the 17th, were located in the forest, where I used to gather mushrooms. My group consisted of eight people. It was me who was in charge of a subgroup of four people - two ‘twos’. We had to capture two dugouts and hold the defence until the next tasks were set,’ the Ukrainian warrior said.
