From January to September of this year, Belarusians sent money transfers abroad in the amount of 103.4 million dollars in equivalent. This is 35.6 million dollars more than for the same period in 2023, according to data from the National Bank. Moreover, the total amount of transfers to workers who are in other countries has noticeably increased. But they started sending less money to Belarus from abroad, writes Zerkalo.

Specifically, in July-September, Belarusians received money transfers from abroad in the amount of 230.9 million dollars, and sent from our country abroad — 43.4 million.

In total, since the beginning of the year, the population received 664.9 million dollars from abroad, and sent 103.4 million to other countries. If the transfers received for 9 months of 2024 were slightly higher than last year (then they amounted to 642.9), then those sent abroad increased by one and a half times.

Transfers sent to Belarus related to wages for 9 months of this year reached 381.2 million dollars after taxes. For the same period of 2023 — 346 million.

Personal transfers to our country decreased from 296.9 to 283.7 million dollars. Of these, $252.5 million is the money of Belarusians who work abroad (for the same period in 2023 — $255.3 million).

At the same time, wages from our country to workers who are in other countries increased to $57.6 million in January-September of this year (for the same period in 2023 it was $19.4 million).
