A member of the "election commissions" is also involved in the case.
On December 16, the Khoyniki District Court began hearing a criminal case for embezzlement through abuse of office. The list of defendants includes a District Council Member Mikalai Hatalski, a member of the Communist Party of Belarus, writes Flagshtok.
This is a 32-year-old engineer for the operation of the machine and tractor fleet of the Arevichy State Unitary Enterprise, who became a member following the results of the last elections to local councils, running for the Communist Party of Belarus in the Slabozhansky electoral district.
Also among the defendants in the same case is Volha Timafeeva, the Chief Accountant of the same agricultural enterprise. She has repeatedly been a member of the "election commissions" for the "elections" to the so-called local councils.
Under Part 2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code (Theft by abuse of official authority, committed repeatedly or by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), the accused face restriction of freedom for a term of two to five years or imprisonment for a term of two to seven years.
