Fuel from the plant is used for Iskander ballistic missiles and some MLRS.
The Ukrainian forces’ attack with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles on the Kamensky plant in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky on December 18 was extremely important from a tactical point of view for several reasons at once, knocking out the “foothold” from under Russian troops.
The rocket fuel produced at this plant is used in a number of MLRS: Tornado-S, Uragan, and Smerch. This was reported by Defense Express.
Fuel from Kamensky is used for Iskander ballistic missiles (range of up to 500 km). It is known that the Soviet Topol missiles (range of 11-12 thousand km) were also lifted into the sky by fuel from this plant.
An additional target of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be the S-400 air defence missile system and two Pantsir air defence missile systems, which covered the facility.
The Cyber Boroshno account on X showed photos and videos of exactly where the Ukrainian missiles hit. The publication noted that the plant had been switched to a 12-hour working day since 2020.
