Lukashenka will be there.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he will not attend the informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will be held on December 25 near St. Petersburg. He explained his decision by the fact that he recently had coronavirus. Pashinyan said that on Monday he tested positive for COVID-19, which is why he worked from home on December 23-24. And although on December 25 the test showed that the prime minister was healthy, it was decided not to go to the summit, where the guests will be received by Putin. Lukashenka will also be at the summit.
“After consulting with colleagues, I decided that I will not participate in the informal summit of the CIS leaders… By the end of the day, I will decide whether or not to participate in tomorrow’s meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the EAEU,” Pashinyan said. Armenia is chairing the EAEU this year.
Pashinyan has been trying to avoid summits involving Russia and the Lukashenka regime for the second year now.
