It happened during the assault on the occupiers in the Toretsk direction.

Soldiers of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign in the Toretsk direction captured an Egyptian citizen who fought on the side of the Russian invaders.

The brigade's press service reported this on social networks, Censor.NET reports.

“The daily assaults on the occupiers in the Toretsk direction are increasingly reminiscent of battles with the “Wagnerites”. Having failed to break through to us in small groups, the enemy began to increase the number of assault troops to 20 people. But the only thing that changed from this was the number of losses. And the recent assault is a clear example of this. Taking advantage of the foggy weather, a group of occupiers managed to get to our positions, but they were immediately met with heavy fire by infantrymen of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade,” the report says.

The defenders completely destroyed part of the group. One Rashist managed to fall into the trench of his comrade-predecessor, but he was quickly smoked out of there with grenades and subsequently eliminated.

The other part of the group of occupiers ran away, hid and pretended to be killed.

“And only one occupier was lucky, because he decided to surrender. The only problem was that he turned out to be an Egyptian citizen, so the infantrymen had to explain everything with gestures,” they added.
