The ultimatum was voiced by the opposition party Musavat.

The opposition of Azerbaijan calls on the country's authorities to show principles and more firmly demand an apology from the Kremlin for the Embraer 190 passenger plane shot down by Russia as it was flying from Baku to Grozny. In addition, the opposition demanded that Russia stop its military aggression against Ukraine.

This was stated in a message by the opposition political force Musavat, the Turan agency reports.

The party's statement says that the military aggression of the Putin regime against Ukraine has led to numerous casualties among the Ukrainian and Russian peoples, and has also caused great losses to other peoples. The political force called Russia's refusal to allow an emergency landing of the plane hit by an air defense missile at Russian airports outrageous, and also drew attention to the fact that due to the impact of electronic warfare systems, the plane was deprived of communication for a long time.

“Despite the calls voiced in the media by the Azerbaijani side for the Russian Federation to acknowledge the fact of the aircraft downing by the Russian air defense and to apologize, Baku has not officially announced such demands. Musavat calls on the authorities to be more principled in this matter,” the statement said.

The party demands the creation of an international commission to investigate the disaster and the suspension of passenger flights to the Russian Federation.
