Situation at the front
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted, the enemy continues active offensive operations in many areas of the front line, in particular, a particularly tense situation has developed in the Avdiivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, where Russian assault units are trying to break through the defence of Ukrainian troops and seize the settlements of Tonenke, Orlivka, Semenivka, Berdichi, Krasnohorivka.
"Severe battles continue in the areas of Verbove and Robotine. The enemy is trying to regain control there. I began my work in the combat zone with the Donetsk Operational Group, in the units that hold the defence in the Avdiivka direction," the general added.
Syrsky also noted the courage and steady heroism of the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade.
"They knocked out the enemy who broke into the outskirts of Orlivka with bold and decisive actions," the general added.
