Mass Fight Breaks Out At Wildberries Warehouse Near Moscow

A mass brawl of employees took place at the warehouse of Wildberries marketplace in Elektrostal near Moscow, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the department, the conflict between warehouse workers and security guards occurred on the night of February 8.

"During the loading and packing of goods, the foreman revealed a violation of the regulations of collecting goods by the warehouse employee. There was a conflict between them, security guards were called in, and there started a fight with them," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

13 alleged instigators of the mass brawl were sent for questioning. At the same time, the "Beware, Moscow" telegram channel claims that about 30 people were detained in total. Journalists claim that they include participants in the mass brawl, as well as warehouse employees with suspected violations of migration laws and evaders.

"It all started with Chechens fighting with the RRG (rapid response group), then the riot police arrived, looking for those who had made the mess. In the end, they took out the guys who had not served," said an interlocutor to ""Beware, Moscow.

According to SHOT, about 200 people were fighting at the warehouse. At the same time, a TASS source in law enforcement agencies states that there were about 100 participants in the conflict. According to Mash, Wildberries employees were using pepper spray during the fight.

The Wildberries management will conduct an internal investigation, the company informed TASS. Now the warehouse is working as usual.

According to media reports, they are checking employees' documents and handing them summonses to the military enrolment centre.

On November 24, 2023, law enforcers raided the same Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal near Moscow. According to TASS sources, the inspection was related to illegal migration.

As specified by the SHOT and Baza telegram channels, in addition to illegal migrants, the police are looking for army evaders. It was claimed that a total of 105 Wildberries employees with acquired citizenship were taken to the military enlistment centre near Moscow after the inspection.
