The visit was prepared last year.
The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev can visit Minsk within six months. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus Yerlan Baizhanov talked about this on the air of Belarus-1 TV channel.
“Such a visit was prepared last year. There were slight difficulties due to the schedules. But we keep it on our agenda. I think that within six months we will be able to implement this important project," said Yerlan Baizhanov.
The ambassador also spoke about the preparation for the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Belarus at the end of last year. At that time, it was planned that this would happen in the first half of this year.
During his previous visit to Minsk last autumn, Tokayev criticized Lukashenka's speech at the CSTO meeting and other politicians about the growing threats.
It is worth noting that visits to Minsk by heads of foreign states have become quite rare and limited. This is due to the reputation of the official Minsk in connection with the mass repressions in the country, as well as the support of the Belarusian government for Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
