The White-Red-White Flag of the Kalinouski Regiment was unfurled in the Ukrainian Rada.
The regiment’s flag of the largest Belarusian unit in the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the Kalinouski Regiment — was unfurled in the Rada by Ukrainian deputy Ihor Huz and his colleagues. He posted a video on Facebook.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the soldiers of the Belarusian regiment have been standing for Ukraine. They came to Ukraine from Europe to fight, defended Kyiv when it was very necessary, and now they are on the eastern front.
Every Belarusian who has weapons in his hands and fights against the Russian occupier knows that without a free Ukraine, there will be no free Belarus.
We remember the victims. These are dozens of soldiers of the Kalinouski Regiment and Belarusians from other units who died on the battlefield. We will never forget them.
I am strongly convinced that very soon we will be in free Minsk and in free Belarus with this flag.
Glory to Belarus! Glory to Ukraine!" Huz wrote.
Ihor Huz was a participant in the action "Chernobyl Way — 2005" in Minsk. He was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest and then deported from Belarus with a ban on entering the country for 5 years.
