Details.

The checkpoint of "Šalčininkai" ("Solečnikai", from the Belarusian side "Beniakoni") on the border between Lithuania and Belarus may be closed in early May. This is reported by "Kommersant" referring to the director of international transport operations of FM Logistic in Russia, Yaroslav Belousov.

The specialist specifies that now the waiting period for trucks in the queue at the border with Lithuania at the border crossings of "Kamenny Loh"/"Miadininkai" ("Medniki") and "Beniakoni"/"Shalchininkai" to enter Belarus is 5-6 days, while the exit - about 20 days.

Lorries queue at the Belarusian-Polish border checkpoint of "Kazlovichy"/"Kukuryki" for 14-17 days to enter Belarus, and 1-2 days to leave.

Due to such delays at the border with the EU, freight rates in international road haulage have doubled, reports the head of international road haulage at Noytech Supply Chain Solutions, Ivan Zakharchenko.

In August 2023, the Lithuanians closed the checkpoints of "Shumsk" ("Shumskas", from the Belarusian side "Losha") and "Tveriač" ("Tveriačus", from the Belarusian side "Vidzy")",

In March "Raigorod" ("Raigardas", from the Belarusian side "Pryvalka") and "Lavoriški" ("Lavoriškės", from the Belarusian side "Katlouka") were closed.

Thus, there will be one border crossing point on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border: Miadininkai ("Medniki", from the Belarusian side "Kamenny Loh").

There is one checkpoint on the Latvian border, one checkpoint for cars and buses and one checkpoint for lorries on the Polish side.
