'Lukashenka Afraid': On What Lies Behind Pulling Troops Away From Ukrainian Border

The war with Ukraine will be the end for the Belarusian regime.
The Belarusian army is not ready to fight with Ukraine. And Belarusian dictator Lukashenka himself does not want to do it, because he understands - he will lose the war. In addition, the war with Ukraine will be the end for his regime. This is what Mykola Malomuzh, general of the Ukrainian army, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010), said yesterday, July 14, on air of FREEDOM TV channel.
"Currently, the Belarusian army has 50 thousand people. And we have operational information that both servicemen and officers of the Belarusian army in principle do not want to go to fight with Ukraine," the general said.
He added that the morale of the Belarusian army is very low. Therefore, if the Russian Federation forces the Belarusian military to participate in the war with Ukraine, there may be a conflict.
"This is what Putin is afraid of. He would have long come in, forcing the Belarusians to fight against Ukraine, but he realises that there's no support there, so it's unrealistic," explained the guest on the air.
He also added that now the Wagner fighters are engaged in the training of Belarusian special forces, which can be used for various provocations.
"That's exactly how these units can conduct entries into the Ukrainian territories, and various provocations and sabotage, to demonstrate an offensive operation to pull back our troops. But the Belarusian army is definitely not ready to fight neither by ideological principles, nor by the combat component," said the former head of foreign intelligence.
He believes that Lukashenka himself is afraid that the military may turn against him. Therefore, he will pre-empt such formats as a large-scale offensive involving Belarusian troops by any means.
"He is manipulating. He's playing into the hands of Putin. Conducts exercises with nuclear tactical weapons. Constantly blames Ukraine, NATO and threatens that he is ready for some radical action, but it's unlikely that he will start acting. Of course, we should not ignore the fact that Belarus may provide its territory for Russian troops to pass through to Ukraine. But this is also unlikely. The Russian Federation does not have a powerful group for an offensive, and the Belarusian army will not go on the offensive," Mykola Malomuzh summarised.
