Poland wants to bring him to justice.

Poland seeks extradition of the suspect in killing of a Polish soldier from Belarus. This was stated by the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General of the country Adam Bodnar on the air of RMF24.

‘Intensive diplomatic work is underway regarding the extradition of this man,’ he said in response to a question about how the investigation into the soldier's murder case at the border was progressing.

Bodnar also noted that media publications confirm that the Polish side knows the identity of the suspect.

‘There is hope that this will lead to the possibility of bringing him to justice. I would like to note that this is one of the many topics that we have with Belarus under very tense diplomatic relations,’ Bodnar added.

We remind you that earlier RMF, citing its sources, reported that the Polish services have identified the suspect in the murder of Private Mateusz Sitek. He was stabbed by one of the migrants at the border and died in hospital a few days later.
