According to the results of a CNN poll in the US, the Democratic Party representative won the debate between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. 63% of respondents think so.
At the same time, 37% of Americans believe that Harris' opponent Donald Trump won.
The corresponding poll results were announced live on the channel.
Registered voters who watched the debate between Harris and Trump on September 10 (the night of the 11th in Minsk) claim that the vice president showed the best result, according to a CNN poll among debate observers conducted by SSRS.
Meanwhile, before the debate, the same voters were equally divided as to which candidate would look better: 50% in favor of Harris, and 50% in favor of Trump.
Debate watchers in the poll were 6 points more likely to favor the Republican Party than the Democratic Party, making the audience about 4 percentage points more Republican than all registered voters in the country.
Poll Methodology
The CNN poll was conducted via text message with 605 registered voters in the U.S. who said they watched the debate, and the results reflect the views of debate watchers only.
Respondents were recruited ahead of the debate and selected by asking members of the SSRS Opinion Panel, a nationally representative group recruited using probability sampling methods.
The results for the full sample of debate watchers have a margin of error of +/- 5.3 percentage points.
CNN notes in its report that the poll results reflect the views of voters who tuned in to watch the debate only and do not reflect the views of the general public.
