As a result of sanctions.
Transit cargo traffic through Belarus has decreased by another 30% this year compared to the same period last year. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Eduard Danilovich at a press conference in Minsk.
According to him, the situation on the western borders of the country remains difficult - primarily because of the sanctions. A number of checkpoints are closed. In addition, there is a ban on the entry of Belarusian cargo carriers to the EU countries.
‘All this, of course, has an understandable impact on the cargo flows that pass through the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Compared to last year, this cargo flow has decreased by another 30%,’ said the SCC representative.
