Bykov: I Know How Lukashenka Will End Up

The keepers will take him right on the podium.

Famous Russian writer Dmitry Bykov has predicted the end of Lukashenka. In an interview for ‘Factory of News’ he commented on the ban of Yanka Kupala's poems in Belarus:

‘There is a wonderful line in the play ‘Thunderstorm’ when Varvara says: ‘Don't listen to her, because she needs to be saying something’. You should not pay attention to them, because they need to be banning. If they want to, they will ban Yanka Kupala, the alphabet or demand, as in my novel, rent for using the alphabet.

When it comes to Lukashenka, I don't think we have much discrepancy. I'm not sure about Putin's mental health, but I'm 100 per cent sure about Lukashenka's sanity. He is a sick man who was not very healthy in the beginning. Now, after 30 years of uncontrolled power, he's not mentally well at all. No matter what he does, no matter what his satraps do, no matter what happens at Akrestsina - it is an irrational space of a nightmare. I feel terribly sorry for Belarusians - ten million talented people who are held hostage by a maniac.

I have predicted many times how Lukashenka will end up. I don't know how Putin will end, I have two variants, at least. Lukashenka will go publicly insane during one of his public speeches. The logic and sense in what he is saying will be completely lost, and the keepers will take him right on the podium’.
